Education
The Phelps Community Historical Society has many resources available for local history projects and family research including books, newspaper articles, postcards, cemetery indexes of the Phelps area, maps, and artifacts.
We have research rooms with space dedicated for various kinds of research. A small lending library is available for students of Phelps history and the bookstore also sells books written by past Phelps historians. Educational programs can be offered tailored to the needs of educators, students and history buffs. Contact the Society office at 315-548-4940 to discuss your educational needs or send the Education Request Form to get started. |
There were at least 24 schoolhouses in the Town of Phelps.
